DESCRIPTION:Join us on Tuesday\, January 26\, 2021 for a special celebration of the life and times of Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg. This event is the kickoff for Adath Israel Sisterhood’s 2021 Torah Fund campaign to support Conservative Jewish seminaries.  \nTo register and pay for this event\, please click on this link to Adath Israel’s ShulCloud site. Pre-payment is required. \nPlease see event details below. \n  \n  \nVIRTUAL TOUR INFORMATION: \n\nThis event is a docent-led virtual tour (on Zoom) of the “Notorious RGB” exhibit at the Illinois Holocaust Museum & Education Center in Skokie\, Ill.\nThis tour is the first-ever museum exhibition focused solely on RGB\, focusing on her myriad roles as student\, wife\, mother\, lawyer\, judge\, women’s rights pioneer\, and Internet phenomenon.\nThe exhibit is based on the book of the same name by Irin Carmon and Shana Knizhnik. The exhibition riffs off the playful connection between Notorious RBG and the late rapper Notorious B.I.G. The name of each gallery section alludes to a song or lyric from this hip-hop artist.\nExhibition highlights include:\n – A robe and jabot from RBG’s Supreme Court wardrobe.\n – Home videos of RBG with her husband on their honeymoon and early years of their marriage.\n – Official portraits of RGB and Sandra Day O’Connor\, the first two women to serve on the Supreme Court\n – 3D re-imaginations of key places in RGB’s life\n\n  \nTORAH FUND CAMPAIGN \n \nThe Torah Fund Campaign\, sponsored by the Women’s League for Conservative Judaism\, is an annual fundraiser for Conservative Jewish seminaries across the world. Donors of $180 or more receive the 5781 commemorative Women’s League pin\, B’Yachad (Together).   \n  \nCOST AND REGISTRATION \nThe cost to attend the RGB event is a minimum gift of $18/person. Additional donations are welcome in multiples of Chai (see Levels of Giving below).
