Adath Israel Sisterhood is looking for help with\u00a0two\u00a0special Social Action activities:\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

IHN Pet Support Program<\/span><\/strong>:<\/span>\u00a0\u00a0IHN\u00a0established\u00a0its Pet Support Program<\/a> in 2014 to extend care to four-legged\u00a0family members, allowing children and parents who become homeless to keep their dog, cat and\/or small companion animals rather than surrendering them to animal shelters or leaving them behind. The animals are either sheltered in an on-site kennel at the day center or placed temporarily with a foster family.<\/span><\/p>\n

Meet Erma, one of the many dogs supported by the program.<\/p><\/div>\n

There are\u00a0four different kinds of support needed for this program:<\/span><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. VOLUNTEERS<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0to help with pet care at the on-site kennel.<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. FOSTER FAMILIES<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0to temporarily care for animals in your own home.<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. DONATIONS\u00a0OF SUPPLIES*<\/span>\u00a0<\/strong>such as pet food, litter, collars, leashes, etc.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  4. DONATIONS OF MONEY<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0to cover the costs of vet care, transportation, etc.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    *Collection bins for pet supplies are located in the Adath Israel coat room.<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

    Mathilde’s Mentionables and I Support the Girls, a national collection drive through the Women’s League for Conservative Judaism (WLCJ)<\/span>:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

    1. Donate new bras\u00a0of all sizes and types \u2013 nursing bras, training bras, mastectomy bras, sports bras, white bras, colored bras, etc.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
    2. Donated gently used bras<\/span> (used bras must be washed).<\/span>\u00a0Please gather bras that have been worn only briefly.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
