Latkes and Vodkas (Sisterhood Chanukah Party)
Latkes and Vodkas is Sisterhood's annual "Chanukah Party." This year's event is at the home of Cara Shapiro and Michael Sullivan in Blue Ash. Address provided upon RSVP. The cost is $12/person. Food and drink, including different varieties of latkes and vodka-based refreshments, will be served. Non-alcoholic beverages will also be available. Spouses, partners, and friends are welcome! Adath Israel Congregation sponsors three Interfaith Hospitality Network (IHN) host weeks each year. The next host week is December 22-29, 2019. Tour "Treasures of the Spanish World," an exhibit of more than 200 objects on loan from the Hispanic Society in Manhattan. It is considered the best collection of Spanish and Spanish-American art in North America and includes an illuminated 15th century Jewish Bible. Join Sisterhood on Sunday, January 26 for a Fitness Stretching class led by Dave Wernick. Dave owns Total Fitness Pros in Blue Ash and has worked in the fitness industry for more than 30 years. He specializes in functional training, which are exercises that closely mimic everyday movement and strengthen the muscles that support the pelvis and spine. Sisterhood Shabbat
What's Sisterhood Shabbat? It's when Sisterhood members lead the Shabbat morning service, including reading Torah and Haftorah, as well as other parts of the service. Sisterhood Shabbat is following by a Kiddush luncheon prepared by Sisterhood members. If you would like to participate in the service, please contact LeeAnne Galioto. If you would like to help with the Kiddush luncheon, please contact Rebecca Goldwasser. We are also looking for volunteers on the Friday before.
