Join Sisterhood and other fellow congregants for a community service day. There are several Sisterhood-sponsored events this year, including: 9:00 - 10:00 a.m. Walk-a-Thon to Stomp Out Childhood Poverty; register at 8:30 a.m. Minimum donation is $18 per person or $36 per family. Walk will be completed in Amberley Village area. 10:00 - 11:30 a.m. Warm-Up America Blankets. Cook dinner for our IHN families and Adath Israel volunteers. Serve dinner and clean up afterwards. The mission of IHN is to provide homeless families with emergency shelter and hospitality through interfaith communities and to work with families to find and retain stable housing. IHN of Greater Cincinnati is one of the few places where single fathers and fathers in two parent households are invited to stay alongside their family. Do you like to bake? Adath Israel’s Social Action Committee invites you to participate in the mitzvah of Maakhil Re’eyvim - Feeding the Hungry. We are looking for volunteers to bake challah and honey cake in their homes for Rosh Hashanah for customers of the Food Pantry at the Barbash Vital Services Center.
